Mexico 1.0

The past year has been somewhat all over the place, traveling and working all over seeing the most amazing things and meeting extraordinary people. Still feels as though I’ve been living out of a suitcase for the past year but don’t get me wrong that is what I “love” and having that spontanous feeling about it is what I thrive on.

This next couple of years is a transition for me and a leap of faith into something that I have been aiming towards for a while. Just hoping it all works out.

Cheers for following along & being part of the adventure!

Here are some picks from Mex back in a June last year.

More coming soon!

Pepper Shapes

Pepper Shapes

Pep; also known as Pepper Shapes! Surfs / Shapes wicked boards & builds skate parks! Did I mention that he skates as well. Killer combo with an edgy style.

It was time that I left and started my travels through Central America like I always planned to do for years. I started in Nicaragua, working at a surf camp (Rapture) for a month taking photos & surfing everyday. Here a few photos from Nicaragua.

Bali Moments

I was in Indonesia for just under a month, starting in Bali for a friends wedding and then to travel around and explore some outer islands and some places that had been on my bucket list for quiet some time. I have been there a number of times but this was the second time solo, the first being when I was 18 years old.  Here are some photos and film of my experiences with the land/culture and its people while I was there.

Subtle Waters

Ever since I have know Stephanie she lit up a room with her bubbly personality. She creates an

energy that you just want to be around & I am pleased to call her my friend.  So when she agreed

to do some photos with me I knew it would be a lot of fun. I think we came out with some great

photos and some good memories.

Squamish Valley

I didn't end up going away the long weekend because I didn't want to be stuck in traffic and

spend a day driving so instead decide to go to an old favourite spot off the beaten track and

secluded from everything else. Usually we get amazing views but unfortunately because of all the

wild fires in land it has pushed the smoke towards Vancouver & surrounding areas it has created a

smoke cloud for several days. None the less we still had a blast.

Film Community

 Film Community

Always been interested in film photography and the process of getting the photograph from film

to paper. There is no room for error and sometimes when you aim for a photo that you want with

the settings in the camera they may come out completely different to what you hope for. This is

the fun of it because you tend to lose focus with digital photography and forget about the little

things that could be the most important things. Something that can be easily fixed in post with

digital but not so much with film. I'm forever learning different ways and methods of digital/film

photography and the way it is evolving each and every day.

Underwater Art Series

Underwater Art Series

I was fortunate enough to collaborate with Asia Youngman ( videographer/photographer) & Sarah Laila

(model) to come up with an underwater art series of photographs that express motionless emotions. If anyone

has ever shot underwater they would understand how difficult this can be. To be able to get the right buoyancy

and pose was a challenging task we faced ahead, nonetheless I think I was able to capture some beautiful

emotions. I have always been fascinated with how objects & humans are perceived underwater in there

motionless state.
